There’s a girl I work with who always wears these open-toe sandals when the weather's warm. Perfectly painted toes, cute anklet, the whole thing. I’d catch myself glancing down every time we’d talk, just quick looks—but one day she totally caught me.
We were chatting in the break room and she suddenly smirked and said, “Are my shoes really that interesting?” I froze. I didn’t know what to say, so I just laughed it off and changed the subject.
Now every time we talk, she slips off her sandals just a little, dangling them while she chats with me. I don’t know if she’s teasing or just comfortable, but it’s driving me crazy. I’ve never told anyone about my thing for feet, and I don’t plan to—but she’s making it really hard to keep it to myself.
