And most all the men in my family have served (and my little monsters are already making their plans - Navy & Marines)
So I run a charity drive for The Fisher House every year - you can donate on my Instagram if you meander over there. I like Instagram's charity engine because it's all automated, money goes straight from donors to the charity, it don't handle it.
The Fisher House is free family housing for veterans' families at the VA hospitals for them to stay when their war fighter is getting treatment (which could be long term and too expensive for hotels for the family to be nearby)
My mom & sister & I stayed in Fisher Houses many many times over the years when my dad would be getting treatments in the VA hospital, sometimes for as long as a month
