When you choose to put your mental health first it is inevitable that other things get pushed to the side. It’s difficult to then see the growth you are making but rest assured it is happening. Adding new habits or banishing old ones might take a lot of your focus but it doesn’t mean you’re abandoning parts of yourself. I say this because I’m currently feeling this imbalance. Like most people juggling work, a social life, exercise, politics and family is a massive challenge. I’m definitely facing it right now and I feel like I’m losing. However, only good things can come from making healthy decisions, even if it feels like a boat load of sacrifice. As you can tell, Jasmine is feeling philosophical today. It does me good to write these feelings down otherwise they bounce around in my head, make me dizzy and send me to the bar.
